About Me
I'm a composer, producer, writer, artist, singer, and multi-instrumentalist from Salt Lake City, Utah. I lead the symphonic metal band Traumagician and the Poe-themed theatrical project Dead Edgar, do scoring work for Invictus Films, manage and produce Kate Fitz and the Romantics, and play mandolin for The Reel Folk and the Grassroots Shakespeare Company.I am a classically-trained mezzo soprano with a four-octave range. I also play mandolin, violin, and fifths guitar, as well as programming all my own synth patches. I hold a BM in commercial music from Utah Valley University. When I'm not making music, you can find me drawing pictures, writing novels, and playing with my pet snakes.I write everything from classical choir pieces to heavy metal ballads to film scores to ridiculous synthrock bops about turning human beings into crabs. I was raised on a steady diet of opera and traditional Irish folk tunes; my mother exposed me to exclusively classical music for most of my childhood. But when I was 13 my dad brought home a Nightwish CD from a trip abroad, and on that day my lifelong obsession with Nordic metal--and my desire to become a musician myself--was born.I am now lucky enough to become part of the music scene that has shaped my life so profoundly. Starting in August 2025, I will pursuing graduate studies at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, Finland, where many of my favorite bands are from. Dreams really do come true!
